Networks & Marketplace

Run a current, permissioned Network
around the businesses you support.

See what members need, what they can credibly offer, which support or opportunities fit, and what happened after each introduction. Mothusi connects programmes, approved providers, buyers, funders and members to the same authorised Growth Record. The institution controls membership, visibility, eligibility and every decision.

More than a directory

A directory shows who joined. This shows what changed.

Mothusi shows which needs are current, where credible capacity exists, which opportunities fit and whether the resulting introduction produced anything. The institution operates a current, permissioned Network where business needs, credible supply, programme support and opportunities all work from the same Growth Record.

1 · Join the Network

Set the Network rules and permissions - reuse the record the business already has.

The institution decides:

  • who may participate, and what information and documents are required;
  • which evidence and compliance requirements must be met;
  • which member, provider, buyer and programme roles exist, and what each may access;
  • when a business becomes visible for support or opportunities;
  • whether discovery across authorised Networks is permitted.

Where a business already has an authorised Growth Record - from an application, a programme or another authorised environment - the Network reuses it. The business completes only missing or Network-specific information and confirms its sharing permissions.

Joining adds participation and permissions to the record. It does not create another disconnected profile.

One record, reused across programmes, support requests, funding opportunities and buyer introductions.

2 · Keep the Network current

Operate from current signals, not static member profiles.

Needs and capacity surface through many signals - monthly check-ins, documents, mentor notes, field visits, support cases, programme activity, funding reviews and member updates. The monthly check-in is one reliable source; it is not the whole picture. Two things most programme forms miss:

What I need

Finance, customers, suppliers, equipment, skills or specialist support.

What I can offer

Products, services, available capacity, stock, production or partnership opportunities.

Mothusi organises these signals into a current Network view: what members need, what they can supply, where evidence is current or incomplete, which needs repeat across the Network, and which opportunities may be relevant.

For example, one of those sources - the monthly check-in:

The institution sees what changed, what the member needs and what it can offer without waiting for another application or programme review.

3 · Marketplace

Show each opportunity to the businesses that fit its requirements. The decision stays human.

Members can post what they need. Enterprise partners can publish tenders, RFQs, funding calls and buyer opportunities.

Each opportunity sets its own criteria. Mothusi screens only authorised Growth Records and separates who is eligible, who is a near fit with the exact gap, and who is outside the requirements. It structures the responses and flags the exceptions. The opportunity owner makes every shortlist and award decision.

One workflow · whoever starts it

  1. Publish requirement
  2. Screen authorised records
  3. Notify suitable members
  4. Compare responses
  5. Award
  6. Write outcome back

A member needs a supplier

Thabo appointed Meso. Project MOK-0412 created, and both Growth Records updated.

MGS contributes the verified tier, current position and supporting evidence behind each response - which is why it is not a column in this comparison. It does not rank suppliers and it does not make the appointment. Eligibility is set by the opportunity’s own criteria, and the member or buyer decides.

The same workflow, started by an enterprise buyer

Eligibility followed the opportunity’s own criteria - capability, location, availability, current compliance and relevant customer evidence. Of the 90 that did not qualify, 18 were a near fit - each can see the exact requirement still outstanding, and what to do about it.

A match is not the outcome.

Mothusi tracks what happens after the introduction - whether the parties responded, a bid was submitted, who was shortlisted, what was awarded, whether delivery started and completed, and whether the buyer confirmed the result. Each verified step writes back to the relevant Growth Records.

Awards do not automatically change MGS. New commercial or delivery evidence is routed for authorised review before any lever moves.

Every figure traces back to the business, the lever, the evidence and the reviewer.

The institution controls access and eligibility rules. Mothusi structures the match and preserves the record. The buyer or member makes the decision.

Cross-Network discovery

Optional, and controlled by each institution.

Opportunities can be shared across authorised Networks where customers choose to participate. Sharing is off by default, and each institution controls which members, needs and listings may be visible outside its own Network.

Operate the Network from current records, not contact lists.

Matches stay human-controlled. Mothusi structures the pipeline; the institution, buyer and member decide.
